The Board provides independent oversight and strategic direction to the Company. In the absence of a Chief Executive Officer, the Board has functioned as the apex decision-making body, delegating clearly defined responsibilities to the Officer in-Charge. By exercising its fiduciary duties, the Board ensures diligence, prudence, competence and integrity in the conduct of its affairs, particularly in the context of managing public funds. . The Management and the Board are working towards strengthening corporate governance and restoring stakeholder confidence with a renewed emphasis on integrity, accountability and transparency throughout the Company. The Board stands guided by the Mauritian Companies Act 2021 (the ‘’Act’’) and the National Code of Corporate Governance (2016) of Mauritius (the ’Code’’) and ensures that MIC’s governance structure and its business practice comply, as far as possible, with all the requirements of the Act and  the Principles of the Code.
